What to pack for Los Roques

Flights to Los Roques allow about 10 kg of checked baggage and extra weight costs €2 to €3 per kilo. Good news: on the island you live in your swimsuit. Here is our list.

Documents and money

• Passport (foreigners) or national ID (Venezuelans).

• Cash in euros or dollars for the park fee and extras.

• Your booking and flight confirmations.

Clothes

• 2 or 3 swimsuits.

• A rash guard or long-sleeved shirt for the sun.

• Light cotton or linen clothes and a thin layer for the evening.

• Sandals; no need for formal shoes (the streets are sand).

Health and sun

• Biodegradable sunscreen (protect the reef).

• A cap or hat and sunglasses.

• Insect repellent and your personal medicines.

What you don't need to bring

At Posada Eva we provide room and beach towels, sunshade, beach chairs and a cooler at the cays, drinking water and Wi-Fi. That saves weight in your bag.

Useful extras

• Your own snorkel mask (if you have one).

• A dry bag for your phone.

• A power bank: the posada has a power generator, but there are no outlets on the cays.
